Frame hanging guide
Essential Items:
- The artwork you received from IDYLLE
- 1 or 2 four-pronged picture hooks
- Hammer
- Refreshments (IDYLLE suggests a bottle of water)
Step 1: Determine the Picture Hanging Position
Choose the position where you want to hang the artwork. You can refer to IDYLLE's tips for hanging artwork to help you find a spot you’ll be satisfied with.
General Rule: The center of the artwork should be at your eye level (approximately 145-160 cm from the floor to the center of the artwork).
Step 2: Determine the hook position
IDYLLE suggests you take a break and have a drink now, then do some calculations.
Determine the distance from the floor to the hook on the wall using the following formula:
Distance from floor to hook = 145 cm (or up to 160 cm) + 1/3 of the height of the artwork
Example: If you want to hang a 70x90 cm artwork 145 cm from the floor:
Distance from floor to hook = 145 + (70/3) = ~168 cm
Mark the position on the wall
- 1 hook: fix it in the middle of the artwork
- 2 hooks: place them 5-10 cm from each side of the artwork, depending on its width
Note: Before hammering the nails, make sure the hook part of the nail overlaps the marked position for accurate results.
Step 3: Hammer the Nails
Use the hammer to firmly drive the nails into the wall, ensuring that the nails are driven as deep into the wall as possible.
Step 4: Hang the Artwork
Carefully support the bottom of the artwork after hanging to ensure the nails do not slip and cause the artwork to fall.
Once the artwork is securely fixed, adjust it to be level and to your liking.
Step 5: Enjoy
Congratulations on successfully bringing art into your home.
You can continue to refresh yourself, admire the artwork, and enjoy the results.
IDYLLE hopes that these instructions not only help you hang your artwork professionally but also create a striking focal point for your living space. We hope the artwork you chose will be an inspiration to you, creating a warm and special atmosphere you’ve always dreamed of.
